Brendan's awards

All that alphabet soup after my name denotes my awards. I don't list them on my resume', but they make me feel validated for all the late nights. <G>

• OW - Order of the Willow - Middle Kingdom AoA-level arts award

• OC - Order of the Crwth - Principality Performing Arts award. Bestowed by Conn & Casandra, Prince & Princess of Northshield, at Bardic Madness in Jaravetlir, AS XXXI

• HH - Honor of the Heliotrope - Barony of Nordskogen arts award

• CIM - Companion to the Iris of Merit - Ansteorran GoA-level arts award

• OST - Order of the Sable Thistle - Ansteorran AoA-level arts award

• MOSS - Meritorious Order of the Shire of the Shadowlands - My first and most prized award, given by the members of my home shire in College Station, Texas. The MoSS is a polled award, and I have always been extremely proud of the fact that I was invited to join the MoSS by other members of the order. Especially since they knew me when I was a very green newbie.

Kingdom-level awards usually carry rank and are given at the pleasure of the crown. Some people toil for years and never get the awards that they richly deserve, others are showered with undeserved accolades. I hope I'm somewhere in between.

My arts awards (OW, OC, HH, CIM, OST) have all been for "bardic arts," singing and storytelling. To try to demonstrate my meagre skills on-line I've collected a number of my songs and poems here.
